Within the framework of the program "Electronic information for libraries eIFL" a lot of libraries and information centres of Kyrgyzstan have got access to a wide spectrum of on-line information resources.

Now users in libraries of Kyrgyzstan work with such known resources in world scientific community as EBSCO, Cambridge Journals Online, Oxford Journals и Oxford Reference Online, Institute of Physics (IOPScience), IMF eLibrary, SAGE Journals and others. In this section we offer you to find out more about these resources and also to receive instructions on their use.

AGORA

Access to AGORA is an initiative to provide free access to major scientific journals in agriculture and related biological, environmental and social sciences to public institutions in developing countries. Launched in October 2003, AGORA will provide access to 849 journals from the world's leading academic publishers (Blackwell Publishing, Kluwer Academic Publishers, Lippincott, Oxford University Press and Springer-Verlag).

HINARI

The Health InterNetwork Access to Research Initiative (HINARI) provides free online access to over 3300 journals in medical, technical, environmental and social sciences from 70 academic publishers. Among them: BioOne, Blackwell Publishing, CABI Publishing, Springer, Elsevir.

IOP Publishing

EBSCO Databases

Within the framework of the eIFL.Direct project access to 11 EBSCO databases, containing in total over 16 thousand periodic and reference items mainly on social and humanitarian directions, and also medicine is given to Kyrgyzstan.

Cambridge Journals Online

Database of magazines of publishing house of the Cambridge University The database contains 190 magazines of publishing house of Cambridge University Press, on the following disciplines: American study, archeology and anthropology, African study, business, biology, studying of Asia, studying of Europe, engineering sciences, art criticism, a history, computer sciences, mathematics, medicine, sciences about the ground and ecology, law, religion, agriculture, sociology, philosophy, economy, and linguistics.

Oxford Journals Online

This database includes more than 240 full-text journals on humanity, social, natural, technical sciences, law and medicine.

Oxford Reference Online

The database contains over 130 known reference items and the dictionaries covering a wide spectrum of disciplines (social and the humanities, medicine, business and computer technologies).

Oxford English Dictionary

The on-line version of the world known Oxford dictionary of the English language. It is the biggest linguistic dictionary in the world, contains over 600 thousand words and allows to look after a history of evolution of the English language for 1500.

Integrum

Integrum is the information service having largest electronic archive of Russian-speaking documents in the world which is formed on the basis of open sources of the information.

BioOne

The database contains 86 scientific magazines on biology, ecology and sciences about an environment, published by scientific communities, museums and other organizations - members of the American institute of biological sciences.

SpringerLink

SpringerLink is the information service giving access to more than 1200 items of magazines in electronic form on science, engineering and medicine.

Electronic Journals Service - EJS

EJS Database includes electronic versions of scientific magazines of such publishing houses as Elsevier, Blackwell Publishing, Taylor & Francis, American Chemical Society and many others.

Directory of Open Access Journals - DOAJ

The directory of magazines in open access covers the free, full-text, reviewed scientific magazines on various categories, in many languages. Now the directory includes over 1503 items of magazines, 380 from which are accessible for search by article.
